At his practice in New York City, Dr. Schwartz shares his expansive knowledge with medical students and resident doctors as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He also holds long-term hospital appointments at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center (rated the best hospital in NY by US News & World Report), Hospital for Special Surgery and Lenox Hill Hospital/Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital (Northwell Health), offering patients the combination of expert surgical skill and access to the best hospitals in the country. He also operates at his office facility which is fully accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities. (AAAASF).
Dr. Schwartz graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. He earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he was awarded the James Felt Memorial Award for the highest overall performance in his graduating class. He was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor Society.
After graduating, Dr. Schwartz completed his residency training in General Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. His plastic surgery training was completed at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. At both medical centers, Dr. Schwartz was selected as chief resident. Dedicated to further expanding his knowledge and skill set, Dr. Schwartz also completed a fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the California Pacific Medical Center. This comprehensive training has served him well in his private practice.
Dr. Schwartz is committed to staying at the leading edge of his specialty. He continues to stay abreast of the latest advances and developments in plastic surgery through active participation in prestigious organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Schwartz has also authored several book chapters, abstracts, and papers in leading industry journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
